February is American Heart Month. People and organizations everywhere are speading awareness and dedicating themselves to preventing heart disease and stroke. The growing body of evidence supporting the role of genetics in cardiovascular disorders has resulted in cardiogenetics becoming an increasingly discussed topic within cardiology. There are many testing options
available, however the genetic etiology of some cardiac disorders remains unclear, multi-factorial, and
requires additional patient counseling.
EGL has created a clinical guide for cardiac disorders to aid Clinicians when incorporating cardiogenetic testing into the treatment paradigm.
